Plant and resource editor
Plant Editor is a separate programme that can be run from the Start menu.
Its main purpose is to add, delete and change plants in the Garden Composer's Encyclopedia and to create user defined fields (this feature is not available in version 2000) in the Encyclopedia's filters. It also allows a user to add its own digital photographs of plants, textures, fences and backgrounds to the database.
The Insert and Edit buttons open the Plant Wizard, the Delete button opens the delete plant dialog while the Update from the Web button connects the user computer to the Garden Composer's Internet website for plant updates via Internet.
With Plant Editor you may also insert new textures and fence types.
Plant Wizard
The Plant Wizard allows the user to add a new plant to the Garden Composer's database (this feature is not available in version 2000) or edit the features of existing plants. Plant Wizard guides the user through various specific features over several pages. For example, one of the pages contains tools to select or modify images of a plant. It is possible to specify the type of picture by clicking the Picture Type button underneath a picture preview, e.g. flowers or the whole plant. More than one picture can be used in each type.
Plant Updates via Internet
If you have an access to the Internet, you can update your plant database from our Internet
web site. Go to the Plant menu, and choose the Update from the Web item. Your
computer will be connected to our web server. Follow instructions to add plants from our
web site to your Encyclopedia.
Warning! This service is not available if you connect to the Internet through a Proxy server.
Resource Wizard
It consists of Fencing Wizard, Texture Wizard and User Fields Wizard.
Fencing Wizard allows entering your customized fence into the Garden Composer's database.
